MGM Admits: "Shame on Us" – In a rare moment of candor, MGM CEO Bill Hornbuckle acknowledged that Strip prices got out of hand. The company is now "price correcting" and offering better value to bring players back. MGM booked 300,000 room nights during their recent Fabulous Five-Day Sale, nearly double their typical pace. Translation? They heard us, and they're responding.
Caesars Extends Locals Love Through Christmas – Nevada residents can keep enjoying free self-parking (Sunday-Thursday) and other perks through December 25. About time the locals got some respect.
The Bottom Line: Vegas operators finally understand that value matters. They're adjusting prices, rolling out deals, and remembering that this town was built on giving players a fair shot at fun.

WHAT'S BUILDING IN VEGAS
Red Rock's Massive Durango Expansion – Station Casinos is going all-in with a $385 million second phase starting in January, adding movie theaters and bowling to the already successful Durango property. The locals market is booming.
Boyd Gaming Demo Day – The shuttered Eastside Cannery on Boulder Highway is coming down. Boyd confirmed demolition plans and is in talks to sell the site for residential development. One door closes, another opens.

Dream Las Vegas Hits Snooze Button – Developers of the 531-room boutique hotel and casino under construction on the Strip have requested a two-year extension for building permits. The project, located south of Russell Road, has been delayed due to financing complications. Despite minimal visible progress, developers say foundational work is underway and the property is about 20% complete with over $123 million invested. They're confident about securing new loan financing by the end of 2024 to resume construction. Once complete, the property will be managed by Dream Hotel Group, now part of Hyatt Hotels Corporation. It's the second extension request from the development team – looks like this dream is taking a while to become reality.
They are requesting their 3rd extension with Clark County as they work out details.

Primal Steakhouse earned a spot on Yelp's Top 20 Steakhouses in America and is the Top Rated Restaurant in Vegas per TripAdvisor. Chef Angel Lopez's medieval-themed spot at Boulevard Mall is a must-visit.
Six Vegas restaurants made Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat in the U.S. for 2025, including Milpa (#19), Toasted Gastrobrunch (#43), and Hachi (#68). Vegas remains the most represented city across more than a decade of these rankings.
