30 years later, A Casino Road Trip Down Memory Lane

From July 18th to August 3rd , Dennis and I (aka D & D) are hitting the road on an epic cross-country adventure—and it’s more than just a road trip. It’s a journey through the places that helped shape my story in the casino world.
Imagine this, when I first was offered the position as a Floor Supervisor at Players Lake Charles, I was a dealer on Graveyard at the Fitzgerald's in Downtown Vegas. At that time I did not own a car. I had to borrow a friends well used Mazda with over 100k miles to make the journey.
This time I will leave Las Vegas in a Lincoln Navigator with less than 5000 miles on it and travel more than 3885 miles.
By the time we are finished, it will be fully broken in and ready to deploy for CQ Patrons!
Back in 1995, I had the incredible opportunity to help open three iconic properties in Louisiana: Players in Lake Charles, The Belle of Baton Rouge, and Harrah’s New Orleans. Each stop along that journey marked a new chapter in my career—and now, 30 years later, I’m heading back with Dennis to see how far everything (and everyone) has come.
I am very interested to see how much Lake Charles has changed, from a 1 show city to the "resort" destination it has become.
I have also shared with many of you my story of the Grand Casino in Biloxi. I know Biloxi has been transformed over the years, so we plan to stay at least 2 days there.
We’ll also be swinging through cities that were once my stomping grounds during those early days. The idea is simple: reconnect with the past, reflect on the evolution of the casino industry, and let Dennis experience it all firsthand. Think of it as “Casino Quest: Origins.”
But here’s the best part—we want to meet you along the way. We’re inviting fans, friends, and fellow players to come say hello, swap stories, or just hang out for a bit.
Here’s a rough idea of where we’ll be and when (all in local time, and we usually arrive by 8 PM or leave by noon the next day unless it shows we are staying overnight. ):
